The Adoption Option

The Adoption Option “My main concern was–How?”  Cindy smiled slightly as a look of confidence came across her face.  “I’m okay where I am. I am able to raise the son I currently have but how am I going to do it with two kids? I just didn’t want to struggle and put myself in the situation of becoming homeless.”

For Cindy, already a single mother, the best option was adoption. When she met with her Patient Advocate at RealOptions she was surprised to learn about the many different choices available to her as she planned the best future for everyone involved. Watch Cindy’s Story

Open and semi-open adoptions are becoming the norm in today’s society. In the past most adoptions were closed, meaning there was no contact and little information shared between the birth parents and the adoptive parents.

Every situation is unique and relationships vary, but for the most part, open adoption allows for an on-going relationship between parents and the siblings. At its core, open adoption empowers moms with the ability to make a plan for their child’s life and chose who they want to parent their child. Every woman’s situation is different, and only you can decide what is best in your case. To learn from other moms who have chosen adoption go to Brave Love

If you are trying to decide if adoption is the right option, you may find it helpful to meet with one of our Patient Advocates or Social Workers.   Call or schedule an appointment at one of convenient locations of RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics or go to realoptions.net
